Unexplainable Algorithm

Target opponent sacrifices one or more creatures with a total combined mana value
of X or more. If they cannot, they sacrifice
all creatures they control instead. (X cannot
be 0.)
It seems no matter what measure of reagents is used, the result still ends up the same - death of
the test subject.
